The Ritual Committee at Temple Beth Sholom, in concert with our clergy, supervises all Religious Services of the Congregation. The Committee considers and approves the manner in which our services are observed and makes recommendations to the Board of Trustees on other matters concerning the religious activities of the congregation.
The Ritual Committee meets monthly to plan for upcoming holiday services and to discuss ways to make our services more meaningful.
Temple Beth Sholom conducts two morning and five evening minyans each week, from Sunday through Friday, as well as Shabbat services each Friday night and Saturday morning. Evening minyan begins at 7:15 pm Sunday through Thursday. Morning minyan begins at 7:30 am on Friday and 9:00 am on Sunday. Kabbalat Shabbat services begin at either 7:30 pm on the first 2 Friday nights of the month and 6:00 pm the remainder of the Friday nights in the month. Please check the calendar for the month to see which is happening as the service times may change due to special programming. Shabbat morning services are held at 6:45 am via Zoom and at 9:30 am in the main sanctuary. Kiddush follows the later service at its conclusion.
The Ritual Committee also plans our SholomPlex offerings. We are working to expand these offerings to monthly to accommodate the interests of our congregants. Please watch the calendar to see the dates of SholomPlex or SholomPlex Mini and join us for these special Shabbatot.
If you are interested in volunteering to daven during a weekday or Shabbat service or would like to chant Torah or Haftorah, pleaseĀ contact the Ritual committee. We welcome your participation.
