Dr. William F.S. Miles, Professor of Political Science, will relate his own experience in tracking
down the story of Rabbi Mardochee Aby Serour, a North African caravan leader, explorer and
merchant. After the destruction of the largest Jewish community of the Sahara, he was the first
Jew to return to establish residence in the fabled city of Timbuktu.
