Dear Friends,
As November comes to a close, I continue to be thankful for your support, hard work, and great energy.
There are so many fabulous things going on, but I’d like to draw your special attention to a few of them. First, MetroWest Monday Minyans have been happening one Monday/month and are going great. We are blessed to have the Day School as our partners in this building, and love every opportunity to share programs with them. All are welcome at our monthly Monday minyan, and it is a lovely way to start your week. Second, our Wednesday morning adult ed class is continuing our deep investigation of Jewish Bioethics. We also have some off-site learning going on, including our monthly Torah on Tap at Jack’s Abby and our Parenting Through a Jewish Lens class.
Looking ahead, I am very excited for December. First, you might have noticed that we’ve scheduled a Friday evening dinner, shabbat service, and Chanukah celebration for Friday 12/20. Come for a light bagels and cream cheese and latkes dinner at 6, followed by musical services. We would love all our religious school students to attend, as we’ll be celebrating consecration this evening. When the Maccabees re-captured the Temple in Jerusalem, they had to re-consecrate it, meaning they had to make it holy again after what the Greeks had done. Luckily we don’t have to “re”-do anything, but we’re excited to take this opportunity to give our new students their first mini-Torahs and celebrate their commitment to Jewish learning.
Keep up the awesome energy and great ideas! You are what makes our community so special, and it’s wonderful to be leading so many fabulous programs with you.
